ROSCO sits on the aptly named Freeman’s Creek just outside of Newcastle. It is one of Australia’s oldest nudist clubs and is described as family orientated.

Although perceptions about nudist clubs are often linked to sex, ROSCO members clarify that the lifestyle is actually about freedom, accepting one’s body and just being comfortable.

However, fighting stereotypes around the naturist lifestyle has been a long battle with many members choosing to keep their hobby a secret due to fear of discrimination.

Mike Williams visited the club’s open day in search of the naked truth.
